Population Aging in East Asia: Mechanism, Economic Impacts and the Effects of Corresponding Policies

Population aging is progressing rapidly in the world range and has caused many socio-economic problems. In many East Asian countries including Japan, Korea and China, their social security system and economic growth in the 21st century will be highly affected by the speed of population aging.
In this study, mainly based on statistical analysis and international comparison, we will examine the mechanism and economic Impacts of population aging in Japan, Korea and China, In addition, in order to raise some suggestions for a better solution and promote necessary international cooperation on aging problem, we will compare and discuss the effects of corresponding policies adopted in these countries.
