Abstract

The Ukraine crisis casts a shadow over the world’s food problem. There are 800 million undernourished people in the world, and this crisis makes the number increasing. In addition, food prices continue to soar due to a decline in grain production in the Black Soil Area and export constrains. Japan depends on foreign countries for most of its food, and in response to the recent political and economic conditions, there are growing concerns about the stable supply of food.
How should Japan’s food security be established? I will try to think of it along with the world’s food problems.

◆ Host by Asian Growth Research Institute (AGI)
◆ Jointly Hosted by the City of Kitakyushu, and the Kitakyushu Chamber of Commerce and Industry
◆ Sponsored by the Industry Club of West Japan
