Ever since our predecessor, “The International Centre for the Study of East Asian Development (ICSEAD),” was established in 1989 as a cooperative research facility with the University of Pennsylvania of the United States, Asian Growth Research Institute has been signing academic exchange agreements with universities and research institutions within and outside Japan, centering on East Asia, in order to enhance exchanges among researchers through the promotion of field studies and joint research, as well as through educational cooperation. By signing academic exchange agreements, boosted exchanges, policy-oriented research based on local information, and concrete recommendations to the local government and economic quarters can be realized. The following is a list of research institutions we signed academic exchange agreements with in and after the year of 2000.
